CNA Course - Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens
This Class will go over definitions, transmission and epidemiology, postexposure planning and treatment for bloodborne and airborne pathogens that are of concern in the healthcare setting. This will include HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, mumps, pertussis, TB, SARS, MERS, COVID and RSV. A review of standard precautions, use of PPE, donning and doffing will also be included.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course. Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
