CNA Course - Asthma
No RN or LVN credit available.
This 2-hour class will review asthma incidence, causes and signs/symptoms, care and prevention. The class will talk about onset of asthma, asthmatic events/episodes, emergency situations, goals for care and management of the disease from a CNA's perspective. The class discusses breathing exercises to reduce asthma symptoms. The class will talk about tips to manage asthmatic patients including patient anxiety and reporting abnormal observations to the nurse.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course. Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
