Pediatric Emergencies-EDAP: Part Two
During this course the student will review the anatomy and physiology of the pediatric respiratory system, the signs and symptoms of respiratory distress along with the pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, and management of Croup (Laryngotracheobronchitis), Epiglottitis, Asthma, Bronchiolitis/RSV, Foreign body aspiration, and vaping related injuries. In addition, they will be learning about pediatric poisoning, heat related illnesses and pediatric orthopedic injuries.
Attendance for both Part 1 and 2 is mandatory for all LA County approved emergency room personnel. Classes must be taken within 6 months of each other.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course.
Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
Please note processing of certificates may take up to two weeks.
