Introduction to Progressive Care Nursing

This 4-day series course is a cross training course designed to train the general medical-surgical nurse to the progressive care/telemetry type of unit. Care of the patient in the ICU step down type of unit will be emphasized. Knowledge of basic dysrhythmia required. At least 6 months of med-surg nursing preferred.
The AACN Essentials of Progressive Care Nursing Textbook 4th edition, is recommended but not required for this course. ISBN #978-1260116731. Student will need to purchase from a book retailer.
Subscription to Osmosis video library is required for this course. A course binder is available for download and will be available through the last day of the course, or a hard copy may be purchased from Flex Ed for $25.00 + shipping.

Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course. Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
