Introduction to Emergency Nursing

This program includes curriculum outlined within the optional textbook, Sheehy’s Manual of Emergency Care Nurses 7th ed, and utilizes the required, online resource platform, Osmosis. This course is designed to help the RN/LVN who would like to work in the Emergency Department with the theory and skills necessary to function safely. This course will also provide a good review for those persons already working in the Emergency Department. Topics included in this course include respiratory, cardiac, behavioral health emergencies, shock emergencies, trauma, and other system emergencies.


Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course. Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
