Class Detail

Critical Care Nursing

This class follows the content and curriculum outlined by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and is designed to provide a knowledge base for the experienced nurse to enter the practice of Critical Care Nursing. Case studies will be used to identify clinical issues and develop critical thinking skills.

Note: Knowledge of basic cardiac dysrhythmias and ACLS protocols are expected in order to attend this course.

Attendance and participation in all course dates and a score of 80% on the final online exam are required for course completion. If the student is unable to pass the online exam with a score of 80% or higher on the 2nd attempt, the student will be required to repeat the entire course to receive CE credit. The course may be repeated one time within one year without incurring additional tuition fees.

The Introduction to Critical Care Nursing, 7th Edition, published by Sole, Klein & Moseley textbook will be utilized during this course. The cost of the textbook and any materials is included in the course fee listed as shown. If you bring the current textbook with you, to the first day of class, you will receive a textbook credit.


Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course.
Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.

Please note processing of certificates may take up to two weeks.
