CNA Course - Aspiration Due to Dysphagia
No RN or LVN credit available.
This course will focus on the care of the patient following a stroke. Specifically this course will review the signs and symptoms of a patient who has suffered a stroke, the normal process of swallowing, and the assessment of the patient for risk of aspiration following a stroke. This course includes tools which can be used by health care personnel at the bedside to assess the stroke patient for risk of aspiration.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course. Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
