Class Detail

Emergency Nursing

This program includes curriculum outlined and developed by the Emergency Nurses Association, utilizing the appropriate text. This course is designed to help the RN/LVN who would like to work in the Emergency Department with the theory and skills necessary to function safely. This course will also provide a good review for those persons already working in the Emergency Department. Topics included in this course are: respiratory, cardiac, behavioral health emergencies, shock emergencies, trauma, and other system emergencies.
Note: Knowledge of basic cardiac dysrhythmias and ACLS protocols are expected in order to attend this course.
This program requires homework. Participation in all course dates and a score of 80% on the final exam are required for course completion.
Sheey’s Manual of Emergency Care, 7th Edition, textbook will be utilized during this course. The cost of the textbook and any materials is included in the course fee listed as shown. If you bring the current textbook with you, to the first day of class, you will receive a textbook credit.


Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course.
Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.

Please note processing of certificates may take up to two weeks.
