Bridge from ABM to Violence Prevention
This course is designed to provide the student who has already attended the 4 hour assaultive behavior management(ABM) course with the additional information needed to recognize and de-escalate potential violent situations. This course will also provide practice with manual safety maneuvers to allow the healthcare worker to safely get away and get help if the patient is aggressive and potentially violent. In addition this video covers code silver, active shooter and the steps to run, hide, fight philosophy.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course. Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
